Statement of purpose

We respect your privacy and rights to personal data. Therefore, Cherry is protecting personal data and collecting, processing and using them with a high level of security in conformity with the law. In this policy we demonstrate how we collect and use personal data.

Personal data definition

The legal definition of personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is someone who can be identified, directly or indirectly through use of the data in conjunction with other information that is in, or is likely to come into, the possession of the Data controller.

Data security

Cherry AB ensures that appropriate security measures are taken to protect personal data at all times. Security mechanisms including e.g. firewalls, secure logging and access controls are in place to protect personal data.

The user’s rights

According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 you have the right to see information regarding the stored data on you as well as the right to correct, block or delete this data. In order to ensure your rights, please send your request by physical mail to the following address:

Please enclose a photocopy of your personal ID in the mail. To ensure data safety we will only answer to your registered address (Sw: folkbokföringsadress) by physical mail.

Collecting, processing and using personal data

If you choose to subscribe to our press releases and/or financial reports you will be asked to provide certain personal data about yourself, such as your email address. This information is not stored by Cherry but forwarded to Cision Sverige AB. If you choose to end your subscription, your personal data will be deleted.

If we collect any other personal data, you will be informed in this Privacy policy or on the respective web page, of the intended purpose of use and, if necessary, asked for your consent to store and process the data. Your personal data will only be disclosed or otherwise transmitted if this is necessary to render our services or if you have given your prior consent.

How and for what purpose do we use your data?

Data that you explicitly and knowingly provide to us will be used for the purpose for which we have specified it. It will only be used for:

  • Distribution of our press releases and/or financial reports or other information required by Swedish law, Nasdaq Rulebook or other legal requirements

Please note that the links on our career pages are governed by separate Data Controllers within the Cherry group with their own privacy policies.


Any subcontractor engaged by Cherry AB that will process personal data under the authority, and on behalf, of Cherry AB must enter into a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Cherry AB. Pursuant to this agreement, the subcontractor agrees to comply with instructions from relevant data controller and applicable data protection legislation.

Cherry AB is obliged to keep its clients/subscribers informed about any subcontractor engaged to process the clients’/subscribers’ personal data and the clients/subscribers are entitled to object to such subcontractor’s processing.

Cherry AB uses the following sub-processors:

  • Cision Sverige AB – for distribution of our press releases and/or financial reports.

Data storage and transfer

Cherry AB only stores and processes personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). No personal data is transferred to any third country outside of the EEA.

Data is only stored through the above-mentioned subcontractor and we do not store any other data throughout this website.


We use so called cookies. A cookie is a text file stored on the end-user’s computer. We only use cookies to make the use of our pages easier for you. We do not store any personal data in our cookies. We also use cookies as part of our Google Analytics exercises, allowing us to compile visitor statistics as well as to gain a better understanding as to how you and our other visitors interact with our website. Even if you do not consent to our use of cookies, you will still be able to access all the information on our web pages. Disabling cookies might, however, lead to a limitation of functionality.

How cookies can be avoided

Users can always delete cookies from the computer. Most modern browsers also support so-called “Private mode”, which means that the browser will not record which websites you’re visiting or download any cookies. See additional information in the document “About cookies”.


This policy will be continually monitored and will be subject to an annual review. The policy owner is responsible for annual review. In case of recurring critical incidents there may be additional reviews.
